I was born and raised in Dryden. I do not have any plans on leaving Dryden. This village is my home. I have been mulling over ideas the past few months of how can I serve my community better, especially now that I live in the village. When I received a phone call asking if I would be interested in a trustee’s position, I thought, here is a chance for me to be involved.

I am a people person. I enjoy working with all different types of people. Working at Cornell has educated me on what diversity is all about, and it has truly made me a better person. I love the challenge and excitement of working with a group and come up with a plan to resolve what is at hand.

I have known Monica for well over a decade: She was one of my administrative assistants when I was the administrative director of Astronomy and Space Sciences at Cornell University. It was always a pleasure to work with Monica, who has the best people skills of anybody with whom I ever worked in any capacity. She is a friendly, caring person with wonderful intuitions. She is smart, fast and efficient, always ready to learn something new. I certainly admire the fact that she wants to use her free time for working for the Village of Dryden on improving its infrastructure.
