What makes me wish to serve as Mayor? Dryden is a small community in the heart of the beautiful Fingerlakes region. It’s a safe and stable community to come home to. Like good neighbors, Village residents are there when our fellow citizens need us. Nearly 14,000 cars pass through Dryden daily, yet it’s a safe place to take a walk and enjoy small-town living.
I have lived in the Village of Dryden nearly 32 years. My wife and I have raised a family in the Village. As a safety officer, I patrolled our streets for 24 years. And I know the people of Dryden. I believe people have learned they can trust me and that I will be lead them on every level as a team player. Many residents, to their credit, are already active in many facets of our beautiful Village. Last summer and fall I myself was involved with the Dryden Beautification Brigade.
My public service includes 2.5 years serving the community on the Village Board. Having served as a Trustee, I’m now looking forward to serving our Village as its next Mayor. I hope I will earn your vote on March 18th!
Randy Sterling
Dryden Village Trustee
"Randy Sterling for Mayor"
Trust, integrity, moral character, and a sincere, long-term dedication to our communities are the basis for my endorsement of Randy Sterling for Dryden village mayor on March 18. Randy Sterling has been actively serving the Dryden and surrounding communities for more than 32 years in both professional and voluntary capacities.
He is well known as a man of high moral and ethical standards and professional conduct. He is attentive, intelligent, capable, and dedicated and is well acquainted with our current village issues. He is already working toward complex, long-term solutions; will not require on-the-job training; will prioritize village concerns; and will not throw random ideas at serious solutions and the crucial working processes, already in place.
Randy has demonstrated a sincere concern for the welfare and future of our community. He has a solid, proven history of being both well-informed and actively involved—serving within and without our community—building partnerships through collaborative effort and hard work. He has listened, spoken out, and worked collectively toward long-term solutions in various capacities that include: village trustee, youth coach, youth mentor, concerned parent, citizen, and civil servant.
Randy Sterling has helped our community grow through both good and difficult times. He offers that same dedication, integrity, and moral character to the office of mayor. I am a life-long Democrat, but I urge all to look seriously at Randy's record and long-term service. He is the serious choice and will represent our village well.

"Sterling For Trusted Leadership in Dryden"
I strongly endorse Randy Sterling for Dryden Village Mayor. In this mayoral election, Randy stands out for his commitment to service and his trustworthy leadership. Randy's communication skills begin with listening. He speaks from a wealth of public sector knowledge and insight. Randy is a sincere and honest leader who "rolls up his shirt sleeves" to get the needed work done for village residents. He is the only candidate for Dryden mayor with experience in village government.
As a Tompkins County Legislator, I look forward to working with this excellent team of Dryden community leaders. Please join me in voting for Sterling, Armstrong and Rachetta on March 18th.

County Legislator, Dryden
"Sterling in Dryden"
The Village of Dryden has a great package to open up in April with Randy Sterling running for mayor. Randy is personally acquainted with a broad spectrum of the community due to years of public service in a variety of organizations, both on the job and in his free time. Randy has worked with a wide cross section of the population in his profession, so he has the flexibility, patience and determination to be successful with the scope and variety of issues and concerns that inevitably come before the Board. As mayor, one of the qualifications is to work as a team player for the good of the village. Randy works effectively in a group and builds up each member of the group.
Like every mayor that has served in the 18 years I have lived here, Randy has learned about how village government operates first as a trustee before running for mayor. He has dedicated the past two and a half years to learning the financial, legal, procedural, physical and business workings of the village. He's been to numerous public hearings and public safety committee meetings. As a trustee, he's worked with the zoning and planning boards as the need arises.
I encourage you to join me in voting for the future success of our village. Vote for Randy Sterling for mayor.
